A Preview Of Johnson City Carousel Day

With a gorgeous day in the works for Saturday you might want to make a trip to the park. The sixth annual Carousel Day will take place at CFJ Park on Lester Ave. in Johnson City from 10am-6pm.

The event will be free to the public with pony rides, music, food vendors and other artisan booths. There will also be a black smith doing live demonstrations.

Event Organizer Julie Deemie said, "It's wonderful to have such a piece of art, it's such a piece of history in our village. And by the way it is the largest and most ornate in Broome County so we're really proud of that here in Johnson City."

Deemie also stated that there is a CFJ park beautification plan in place.
The plan includes adding signs to attract more people to the carousel and a tree planting program.
