A New Jersey man accused of a string of burglaries in a number of states, including New York, has been charged.
Francis Simmons of Warren, New Jersey is accused of robbing an antique's store in the Village of Marathon back in 2013. The items stolen during the robbery were valued to be in the thousands.
Simmons also allegedly robbed banks in places such as Hagerstown, Maryland....Hanover, Pennsylvania and Ashboro, North Carolina between November 2013 and November of last year.
The case is being handled at the federal level. In total, he has been charged in 14 bank robberies and 2 business robberies. It is not known how much money or how many items were stolen during this spree.
