Local restaurants are inviting food lovers to try some of their finest products.
Sunday the Southern Tier Independent Restaurants held a Food Lovers Tasting and Demonstration Party at Traditions at the Glen.
And quite a variety to choose from with more than 25 tasting stations and five live cooking demonstrations.
In addition to the food there was also live music and a silent auction.
"We are really excited to have the 2nd annual tasting and demonstration party sponsored by STIR. Were a group of 50 restaurants who have come together to promote patronage of local independently owned restaurants," said Paul VanSavage.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a scholarship for a SUNY Broome student enrolled in the college's Hospitality Program.
