STAP Holds 13th Annual Doggone Fun on the Run

Pet owners and pets alike have a paws-itively good time at the park.

The Southern Tier Aids Program held its 13th annual Doggone Fun on the Run at
Otsiningo Park in Binghamton today.
STAP is a program that provides supportive services to HIV-positive persons, along with preventative education.
More than 100 dogs and their owners came out to enjoy a walk and helped to raise more than $9,000 for the organization.

"For our clients, they're family, they're a reason maybe to go out for a walk. They really improve their health by lowering blood pressure, being their companion. There's so many benefits to animal ownership," said Director of Development at STAP Mary Kaminsky.

After the walk, participants were invited to a "pawtastic party" where pets could enjoy "musical mats" and cool off in a kiddie pool.
