American Legion Honors Service Members Lost in Gunman Attack
In Binghamton The American Legion 80 lowered it's flag to half staff on Friday in respect for the Marines and Navy personnel that were killed in the armed gunman attack in Chattanooga on Thursday. The flag was lowered at 10:45, the exact time the attack occurred, as a sign of respect to those killed.
"It's just our way of saying here in Binghamton, at least at our Post, we do remember and we do thank these brave Marines that paid the ultimate price," said 1st Vice Commander for American Legion Post 80 Daniel Booker.
Four Marines were killed in the attack in what the FBI is investigating as an act of terrorism.
