Drunk Driving Case to go to Cortland County Grand Jury Within Next Month
The case against 42 year old Christopher Tanner of Marathon is scheduled to go before a Cortland County grand jury within the next month.
Tanner is accused of driving drunk on Route 11 last Saturday in Marathon and killing 49 year old Sharon Nasoni of Endicott who was driving a motorcyle. The Cortland County District Attorney says that yesterday's felony hearing was cancelled and the next step in the process would be for a grand jury to indict Tanner. Authorities say Tanner's blood alcohol content was point 21 percent when he crossed the center of the roadway and struck Nasoni. He's being held in the Cortland County jail without bail.
