Johnson City Man Facing Over 40 Vehicle and Traffic Violations
A Johnson City man is facing over 40 vehicle and traffic violations after Broome County Sheriff's say he was unlawfully fleeing from arrest early Friday morning.
Authorities say 31 year old William Haight Jr. began fleeing after officers tried to pull him over for having suspended license plates. Police say at one point Haight was traveling 94 miles per hour in a 45 mile an hour construction zone. After his vehicle was disabled with stop sticks and came to a stop in a ditch, police say Haight attempted to flee into the woods, but was caught by deputies. He's being held in the Broome County jail on two thousand dollars cash bail.
