Police Investigate Shots Fired at Saratoga Apartments

By Fox 40 Staff.
Binghamton Police are asking for your help in investigating shots fired Friday.

At approximately 1:34 a.m. Friday the department responded to a report of shots fired at 60 Saratoga Avenue, Building 4. Upon arrival officers found that several shots had been fired. We took an exclusive look inside the apartment where the resident said the shots landed. They said they want everyone to know what happened because they don't tolerate that kind of behavior in their community.

Later Friday at around 3:30pm, there were reports of another gunshot at the same building, and police arrived at the scene of a brawl involving members of the community. There were also scanner reports of a stabbing on the scene, with someone taken away from the scene in an ambulance, but police would not confirm the stabbing.

Many residents on the scene who would not speak on camera expressed their concern about the safety of the neighborhood. Anyone with information should call Binghamton Detectives at 772-7080.
