Reading Fightin' Phils Brian Pointer ended the Eastern League All Star Game in the 11th round of the Home Run Shootout. Pointer's blast was the only homer of the shootout. The game was tied at 4 after the 9th prompting the unorthodox, but exciting finish.

The East jumped out to an early lead in the first on a Jantzen Witte run scoring double play, and tacked on more in the second on a Jake Cave sac fly to score Brandon Nimmo followed by a Marco Hernandez home run.

The West put up three runs in the 7th to tie the game at four.

Nimmo went 1-3 with a double and a run scored. Fellow B-Met Josh Rodriguez went 1-3, Gavin Cecchini went 0-1 with a walk and Dario Alvarez pitched one-third of an inning with one walk and one strikeout.

The B-Mets return home to host Trenton on Thursday at 6:35.
