David Sweat Moved to Permanent Cell at Five Points Correctional Facility
Wednesday, July 15, 2015 6:59 PM EDT
Escaped convict David Sweat has been discharged from a prison infirmary and
moved to his cell in a special housing unit at the Five Points correctional facility in Romulus, New York.
The Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said Sweat will be locked down for 23 hours a day at the facility.
Sweat and Richard Matt broke out of the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora on June 5th and led police on a three week chase before being captured.
Matt was shot and killed while sweat was injured after being shot. Sweat had been serving a life sentence for the murder of Broome County Sheriff Deputy Kevin Tarsia in 2002.
