Mets release three B-Mets from organization

The Binghamton Mets announced on Wednesday morning that Dustin Lawley, Aderlin Rodriguez, and Eudy Pina have all been released from the organization. No corresponding roster move was announced, but the B-Mets are also off until Thursday, so roster moves could be announced soon.

Lawley hit 20 HR and tallied 69 RBI a season ago but has struggled at the plate this season hitting just .213 with 6 HR and 26 RBI and already 58 strikeouts. In the field, primarily playing first base, his numbers have not been great either. He's committed 15 errors at 3B this season compared to 17 at the same position all of last season.

Rodriguez was ranked second on the team in home runs with 10 and third in RBI with 34 despite hitting just .253.

Pina got a slow start to the season offensively, but has been on a tear of late hitting .441 in his last ten games to raise his batting average to .305.

No reason was given for their release.

The Binghamton Mets host the Trenton Thunder on Thursday at 6:35.
