State Senator Tom Libous Trial Begins

jury selection is over ... the trial of state senator tom libous started in earnest Tuesday.
Libous is charged with one count of providing a false statement to an FBI agent, a felony.
The FBI was investigating Libous' alleged role in getting his son a job at a politically-connected law firm in Westchester county.
Libous is the second-ranking Republican in the state senate.
Libous has repeatedly maintained his innocence of the charge.
The trial is taking place in White Plains.
