Protestors Seek Stiffer Charges In Alleged Anti-Muslim Plot
Tuesday, July 14, 2015 6:41 PM EDT
Protesters from the Muslims of America are calling for stiffer charges against a Tennessee man charged with plotting a massacre on the muslim village of Islamberg in Hancock.
Robert Doggart is charged with one count of solicitation to commit civil rights violations by damaging religious property.
Our Fox affiliate in Chattanooga WDSI reports Doggart was arraigned Monday in federal court.
Members of Muslims of America want charges to include domestic terrorism, threat to injure or kill, attempts to burn a religious building, and to have those charges labeled as hate crimes.
Doggart is scheduled to stand trial September 21st.
