Rays of hope for renewable energy

Governor Cuomo announces today that New York State's Solar Energy Industry has grown by over 300 percent from 2011 to 2014, highlighting an initiative to invest in a cleaner and more affordable energy system. This comes after the governor instituted a state-wide ban on hydraulic fracking. As of December 2014, a total of 314 megawatts of solar electric was installed all accross New York State, which is the equivalent to power about 51,000 homes.
