Family and Friends Remember Slain Deputy Kevin Tarsia
Saturday, July 4, 2015 9:26 PM EDT
Family and friends are taking time to remember the life of slain Broome County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Tarsia.
Tarsia was shot and killed by two men, Jeffrey Nabinger Jr. and David Sweat on July 4th back in 2002.
Family members commemorate Tarsia's life by decorating his plaque every year with things like flowers, flags and candles.
The plaque is located at Grange Hall Road Park in Kirkwood, the same place Tarsia was shot and killed.
Broome County sheriff Dave Harder also paid respect to the Tarsia family on his Facebook page asking the public to keep the Tarsia family in your thoughts and prayers.
