An Endicott man is facing charges after police say he was in possession of large amounts of drugs.
Broome County sheriff's officials arrested 33-year-old Sengmany Savatxath around 4:45 Saturday morning.
According to reports, deputies attempted to stop Savatxath after driving through a red light at the intersection of Downs avenue and Prospect street in the Town of Dickinson. The driver finally stopped the vehicle on Endicott Avenue in Johnson city where he took off on foot. Deputies say he resisted arrest and was in possession of prepackaged heroin, crack cocaine, and prescription pills.
Savatxath was arraigned in the Village of Johnson city court and remanded to the Broome County jail pending further action.
