Senators sign pair of former B-Sens to extensions

The Ottawa Senators brought two familiar names back to their roster Thursday, re-signing former Binghamton Senators Mark Stone and Mika Zibanejad to conrtact extensions.

Stone was signed to a 3-year extension worth an annual average of $3.5 million ($2.25M, $3.75M, $4.5M). He set career highs in 2014-15 with 64 points (26 goals, 30 assists), and penalty minutes (14) over 80 games. His 64 points were tied for the best among NHL rookies, and his 26 goals trailed only teammate Mike Hoffman's 27 for rookies. Stone also led the team's forwards with a +21 plus/minus, and tied for second in scoring.

Zibanejad was signed to a 2-year extension worth an annual average of $2.625 million ($2M, $3.25M). He also established career highs registering 46 points (20 goals, 26 assists) and 20 penalty minutes over 80 regular-season contests.
