Binghamton Police Investigate Liberty Street Hit-and-Run
By Fox 40 Staff. Binghamton Police are searching for a car they say struck a pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday night.
According to emergency communications, the incident occurred at 98 Liberty Street at 8:56 Tuesday night. Our reporter saw a damaged bicycle near the scene. Two people who claim to know the victim say she was taken to the hospital and describe her as a 29-year-old female.
Police have not released information on the condition of the victim, saying the incident is still under investigation. Police are searching for a silver Chrysler or Dodge Stratus with heavy damage on the passenger side, possibly with a missing mirror. The driver is described as a black male with a goatee and puffy hair pulled back in a pony tail. Police say there is also a Giants sticker on the trunk of the vehicle.
