Woofstock Concert Benefits Humane Society

You've probably heard of Woodstock, but have you heard of Woofstock?

Saturday, the Humane Society held their second annual Woofstock and first annual Poker Run for Rescues in Endicott.
Woofstock is a concert held in order to raise money for things like food and medical care for the shelter's animals.

Six local bands played music for a crowd of hundreds at the concert. In addition, there were raffles, face painting and people could even bring their pets.

Organizers say their goal is to raise more than $5,000 this year.

"Everybody's a music lover, we know that, and it's a great event. And it raises quite a bit of money for our shelter. We don't get any government funding so these types of events are really vital for our shelter," said

Fundraising Volunteer for Humane Society Ann Eno. The Humane Society will hold a Duck Racing Derby on July 19th and those proceeds will also go toward the needs of the animals at the shelter.
