B-Mets game with New Britain suspended until Saturday afternoon

BINGHAMTON, NY - Torrential rain suspended the Binghamton Mets series-opening game against the New Britain Rock Cats on Friday night at NYSEG Stadium. The inclement weather halted the scoreless contest before the bottom of the fourth inning was set to start.

The game will resume at 5:35 PM on Saturday evening. The teams will play the resumption to a nine-inning completion before playing a seven-inning contest. Gates at NYSEG Stadium will open to the public at 5:00 PM. Ticketholders for Friday's game can redeem them for a ticket of equal or lesser value to a future B-Mets 2015 regular season game, excluding July 4.

Friday's halted action marks Binghamton's second suspended game of the season. Michael Fulmer had struck out five over four blank innings while Rock Cats starter Shane Carle retired all nine B-Mets he faced before Mother Nature stopped the game.
