Calvin Bell will leave the Broome County Courthouse a free man.
Just after 11:30 a.m. on Friday, a jury of six men and six women found the Johnson City man not guilty in the 2013 death of Bretnie 'Sha' Owens.
The jury reached its verdict after two-and-a-half days of deliberating.
Bell has always denied the allegations that he and co-defendant Nigel Smith forced their way into Owens' home on Stone Street in Binghamton. The pair is also accused of stealing drugs and money from Owens' home.
Bell's attorney, Michael Korchak, argued there was no physical evidence placing Bell at the scene of the crime.
Nigel Smith's trial is scheduled for June 29.
At six, FOX 40 will bring you reaction from Bell's family.
