FEMA Mistake Stalls Funding for BU Flood Damage
Monday, June 8, 2015 6:43 PM EDT
An over $3 million project to repair Binghamton University's downtown center from flood damage is still at a standstill.
Senator Charles Schumer says a FEMA mistake resulted in the university being denied most of the funding on the $3.1 million project.
BU has appealed the decision and today, Senator Charles Schumer sent a letter to FEMA's administrator to speed up the process to work can begin.
