John P. Leet Foundations Benefits Education

Golfers are raising money to help fund future education.

Saturday more than 80 golfers participated in the second day of the the three-day John Pat Leet Captain-and-Crew Benefit at Endwell Greens with a two-man captain and mate tournament. Proceeds from this weekend's event will go towards the John P. Leet Foundation at SUNY Broome, and this year organizers say they've raised more than $12,000 towards scholarships.

"We're out here to enjoy each other's company and give back to the community and the people that are in need and hopefully two bright students can get education out of the scholarship fund," said Co-sponsor and Owner of Court Jester Athletic Club Matt Bedosky.

The event will continue Sunday with an amateur tournament teeing off at 1 p.m.
