Dempsey excited about roster despite transfers

Jordan Reed, Nick Madray, and Magnus Richards are all gone. All three left Binghamton University as transfers, clearing scholarship space for 6'1" Guard Tim Rose, 6'3" Guard Everson Davis, 6'9" Forward Thomas Bruce and 6'3" transfer Guard J.C. Show. The 4th roster space cleared by the graduation of Jabrille Williams.

It was no secret that Reed caused chemistry issues with the team, and Marday and Richards spent a lot of their two years on campus hurt or under productive. So, it was time to move on.

Despite losing some talent with their exits, Head Coach Tommy Dempsey is still excited for the returning group and the new additions and confident that on court success is not far off.

"The group that we finished the year with that was playing good basketball, that was playing together and playing the type of basketball that we want them to play, is for the most part intact," Dempsey said. "We added some nice pieces to that group, so I don't think in all honesty that the losses that we've had have done much to set us back. I like who we've brought in with some of the scholarships that opened and I think we're positioned to move forward nicely."
