Family Displaced after Sunday Night Endwell Fire

Fire officials are still investigating a blaze which displaced a family last night in Endwell.

Two adults, a child, and one dog are OK after a single family home on Pearl Street in Endwell caught fire around 9:48 pm Sunday evening.

State police were first on the scene and they saw the flame burning on the roof along with power lines down.

Responding agencies included Endwell, Union Center and Endicott fire departments. We don't yet know the origin of the fire but there was heavy fire coming from the front porch.

"It was a second alarm fire. It most likely will be a total loss. Everyone got out of the house okay and there were two adults, a kid, and one dog," said Tom Palazzo, Endwell Assistant Fire Chief.

There were also multiple popping noises thought to be explosions which were actually pressurized items letting off gas.
