Dillon Gee has had crazy season in New York this year
New York Mets Starting pitcher Dillon Gee has had a crazy season up to this point. In spring training there were talks of trading the right hander. Then he was slated to start the year in the bullpen. But after Zack Wheeler went down with Tommy John Surgery, he returned to the rotation. Now, Gee is done rehabbing and will enter a six man rotation scheduled to begin next week.
"It's definitely been weird. For a long time there it's like you never did know what the role was going to be. I try as hard as possible just to go out there when I am on the mound. That is my time to do my job and as long as I can do that well then hopefully everything will fall into place," said Gee.
Gee is scheduled to pitch on Tuesday in San Diego for their second game in the series against the Padres.
