Blue Devils have sights set on State Title

For Section IV Lacrosse the trend in recent years was to win a Section Title for rights to lose to Section III. The only team in Section IV history to win a State Title in Lacrosse was Corning East back in 1990. But there's always time for a change, and the Chenango Forks Blue Devils think that they're the team to do that. To get another shot at Section III, they first have to go through Section X's Salmon River on Wednesday, but they're confident in their chances against anyone in the state.

"We've had a lot of guys that have been here before." said Jack Sherwood, Senior 1st Midfielder. "A lot of younger guys that haven't been here before, don't know the history of Section III and Section IV. We've put up a good team this year and we're going to give it our best."

"I think we're a little more down to earth," said Head Coach Dave Pavlick. "We understand. We're not going to get as worked up as much as we have in the past. There's a lot of talent and they know it so we just have to make sure we keep a level head and if we can execute the game plan we can beat anybody."

Forks plays Salmon River on Wednesday at Vestal at 4:00.
