Local Family Spends Time Together as Parks Open Up
Many who didn't have work or school took to the local parks to enjoy their day off this Memorial Day.
This weekend Recreation Park in Binghamton opened its pool and carousel for those looking to spend Memorial Day out in the sun.
The Cline family says they're taking this day off to capitalize and spend time with family.
"We're a small family kind of new we don't have many traditions yet. But just getting out in the park and enjoying the carousel since it just opened up. My son has been asking to ride the horses for a long time and he's glad to see them finally open back up," said Mathew Cline, a Binghamton resident.
Also new this year, starting Tuesday. the pool at Rec Park will be open evenings from 4 until 8 during the week.
