Dean Talks at Rotary, Prepping the Next Generation of Social Workers
Having the next generation of social workers make a positive impact today - that's the goal of Binghamton University's College of Community and Public Affairs.
Tuesday, the dean of the college spoke at the Binghamton Rotary Club about the impact the students are able to have.the students who are working toward degrees in public administration, social work, and human development give their tIme to non-profit agencies, schools, colleges, and hospitals.
"That we as a college contribute to the community because we live her we're invested in this community, we're invested in economic development, we're invested in it being a place where people want to live where students want to walk get their degrees, want to stay and contribute to and be a part of," said Laura Bronstein, Dean of the CCPA.
The college was established in 2006. It's located at BU's downtown center.
