Local Company Invites People to Learn How to Go Solar

Are you looking for ways to go green? One local company may have some helpful information on what you can do to help out the environment and save yourself some money.

Monday night, Southern Tier Solar Works hosted the first of several community meetings across the region at Central United Methodist Church in Endicott. Several experts were there to tell people how they can go solar on their homes and businesses. There were also Installer partners there to talk about different available options.

Southern Tier Solar Works Program Manager, Adam Flint says there are many reasons why people should convert to solar power.

Flint said, "Solar allows you to fix your energy cost for decades. It is true energy independence. Basically once you pay the system off you're getting free electricity and it's clean energy and creates jobs."

If solar power interests you, you can visit southerntiersolarworks.org or you can attend the next solar community meeting on May 19th at Windsor Village Community House.
