SUNY Broome Theatre Renamed in Honor of Late Professor
Family, colleagues and faculty members gathered Friday night to honor a man who was the driving force behind SUNY Broome's theatre program for 30 years.
The honoring of the late professor Angelo Zucculo was part of the kick off to SUNY Broome's Performing Arts week at the student center.
The event included the first view of a bronze bust of Zucculo, sculpted by John Giannotti and unveiled by his two daughters. The Little Theatre was also renamed the Angelo Zucculo Little Theatre. Colleagues say he left quite the mark on this community.
"Angelo's legacy is really about collaboration, about bringing people together and letting people tap into their potential. That's who he was," said Francis L. Battisti, Executive Vice President, SUNY Broome.
