Bearcats prepared for what Albany brings to tournament

In three contests this season, the BU Bearcats are 1-2 against the Albany Great Danes and have been outscored 20-27. While those numbers aren't exactly confidence building, wins in 7 of their last 9 games and including back-to-back walk offs will do the trick.

Even so, Albany has had BU's number in the postseason lately. In the last two years, the two schools have met twice with Albany taking all three games by a combined 17-11 score.

This time around, the Bearcats are hoping for better success.

"We kind of got a good feel for what everybody's got," said Head Coach Michelle Burrell. "I think everybody knows who everybody's strength and weaknesses are and I think one that we want to focus on is playing to our strengths and then taking advantage of other team's weaknesses."

"I think a big key is playing really good defense because they come out hitting and they come out swinging," said Sydney Harbaugh, junior outfielder. "So just as long as we play every pitch and do our part on defense and do our part on offense, we should do just fine."
