Chenango County District Attorney Joe McBride has officially announced his re-election campaign.
McBride was first elected District Attorney in 1999 and has been re-elected three times since. For the first time since 1999 McBride is facing an opponent. Assistant Public Defender and City of Norwich resident Zachary Wentworth announced that he is seeking to challenge McBride for the the Republican nomination in a September primary.
One of McBride's most recent high-profile cases was the trial of Remy Ramsaran, who was sentenced to 25 years to life for killing his wife Jennifer.
