Applications Now Available for Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

New York businesses hoping to become registered manufacturers and dispensaries of medical marijuana can now apply through the state's department of health.
The Compassionate Care Act allows the registration of up to five organizations in the state who can each operate up to four dispensing facilities.
Detailed infrastructure and operation plans are a required portion of the application along with a non-refundable application fee of $10,000.
Applicants will also have to to pay a $200,000 registration fee which will be returned if they are not selected.
