NYSDOT Officials Outline Summer Plans for Construction in Owego
Those who were interested in learning more about upcoming construction for this summer in Owego had their chance.
The New York State Department of Transportation held a public information meeting tonight at Tioga Opportunities.
The meeting highlighted projects such as pavement work on 17c, and improving traffic signals and pavement markings along with lowering the Route 96 underpass.
"We're giving more room underneath the bridge making it possible for trucks to better navigate underneath and for vehicles to get through without getting stuck," said David Hamburg, Public Information Officer for the NYSDOT.
Lowering the Route 96 underpass will begin in August and according to officials should be completed in November.
