Emergency Personnel Attend Conference to Enhance Skills
Safety personnel are taking some time to learn how to advance their medical skills.
More than 250 people gathered for the 27th annual Patrick E. O' Hara, EMS/ Emergency Medicine/ Trauma Teaching Day. The conference included five speakers with expertise in areas like legal advice for emergency care professionals, information on facial trauma and strategies for combating the nationwide heroin epidemic.
"The specialization of hospitals centers is just growing and everybody from EMTs to paramedics to our staff at the ERs just want to stay cutting edge," said Program Manager for Emergency Medical Services with UHS William Loller.
