Madray announces plans to transfer from BU

After two injury plagued seasons as a member of the Binghamton Bearcats, sophomore forward Nick Madray announced on Tuesday, through the school, plans to transfer from Binghamton.

Madray issued the following statement:
"I plan to continue my academic endeavors elsewhere in a field that will be most beneficial to the needs of my family and myself. I have thoroughly enjoyed representing and playing for the Binghamton basketball program. I'm appreciative for the relationships I've formed with my teammates, coaching staff and faculty members as they've contributed to making my experience in Binghamton enjoyable."

Tommy Dempsey also released the following:
"We appreciate Nick's effort over the past two seasons as a member of our basketball program. We wish him nothing but success as he moves forward."

Madray played just 34 games for the Bearcats across his first two, now only, seasons averaging 9.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. He suffered two separate season ending injuries (knee as freshman, ankle as sophomore) in both seasons on campus.
