Broome County Health Department to Remain Closed This Week

The Broome County Health Department in Binghamton will remain closed this week(4/13-4/17).

This after the Front Street location was closed Thursday after a sealant used by contractors caused excessive fumes.



The Broome County Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program will be operating at off-site locations during the week of April 13th – April 17th.

• Monday April 13th, 2015 at UHS Wilson Medical Center, Cafeteria Conference Room
• Tuesday April 14th, 2015 at Central United Methodist Church, 17 Nanticoke Ave, Endicott
• Wednesday April 15th, 2015 at the Kelley Building, 229-231 State St, Binghamton, Fourth Floor
• Thursday April 16th, 2015 at the Kelley Building, 229-231 State St, Binghamton, Fourth Floor
• Friday April 17th, 2015 at the Kelley Building, 229-231 State St, Binghamton, Fourth Floor

Most other Health Department employees have been relocated to emergency services in the Town of Dickinson or in the field and will remain there while the health department is closed.

Phase one of the project at the Health Department is expected to be completed this week and the facility on Front Street is expected to reopen on Monday, April 20th.
