Partial Building Collapse in Waverly Closes Streets to Vehicles and Pedestrians
A partial building collapse in Waverly closed several streets to cars and pedestrians.
The former National Protective Legion Building in the 400 block of Fulton Street collapsed Monday night. The lower half of Fulton Street, from Chemung Street and Broad Street, and part of the west end of Elizabeth Street are closed. Residents living in the area north of the Waverly Liquor & Wine store will be able to access their driveways. The Waverly Police Department said the closure is expected to last for two days until crews can remove the building.
