United Methodist Homes Hosts Easter Dinner

Posted:
The United Methodist Homes hosts a special Easter meal for their residents.

The Hilltop Campus in Johnson City is a senior living center. Several of their residents and their family members enjoyed some root beer glazed ham, scallop potatoes, and roasted lamb with mint jam this afternoon.

Organizers say Easter dinner is always the busiest because not as many residents go home for the holiday. Therefore, the facility tries to make the atmosphere as inviting as possible.

"They look forward to it and it makes for such a nice day. And then the residents are very happy to see their families and then on top of that having a special meal to celebrate the holiday, it's enjoyable for everybody," said United Methodist Homes Assistant Food Service Director Warren Rincavage.

"Nothing is like home, but they make this make us feel like we're at home. And so that part is nice," said Ruth Langton, United Methodist Homes resident.

More than 500 people came out for that Easter meal.
