Jurors learn of threats Cal Harris allegedly made to Michele prior to her disappearance. Harris is the Town of Spencer man charged with 2nd degree murder for the death of his wife Michele who disappeared in September 2001.

Michele's hair dresser Jerome Wilczynski testified Monday that during Michele's final hair appointment he listened in on a phone call between Michele and Cal in which Cal threatened to kill Michele if she didn't drop the divorce proceedings and said that he could make her disappear.

Defense attorney Bruce Barket however argues that this threat is completely fabricated pointing out that Wilczynski didn't mention this threat to police until after Cal was indicted in 2005.

When confronted with prior testimony from 2007 where he did not mention Cal's comment about making Michele disappear, Wilczynski remained adamant that's what he heard during the phone call.

Cal's sister-in-law Mary Jo who also took the stand Monday said that she had some serious concerns over the circumstances in which Michele was reported missing.

Specifically she recalls a 1996 phone call with Michele who said she was calling from a closet and that Cal had threatened her while opening and closing the chamber of his gun.

When confronted about this incident just days after Michele's disappearance Mary Jo says that Cal immediately became uncomfortable and denied the accusation then just minutes later said he might have said it but that it did not mean he was going to kill Michele.

Mary Jo and Wilczynski both say that Michele had lost a noticeable amount of weight before her disappearance which that defense argues is due to drug use.

Jurors will not be in court Tuesday but testimony is scheduled to continue on Wednesday at 11:00am when prosecutors expect to officially rest their case.
