Endicott Woman Arrested for Possession of Drugs in the Presence of Children

An Endicott woman is under arrest after police say she had heroin, cocaine, and marijuana in the presence of an 8-year-old child and an infant.

27-year-old Shataya Gibson is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a child.

This after police say they found 34 bags of heroin, small amounts of cocaine, and marijuana in her Endicott home.

Police executed a search warrant on the Fillmore Ave. residence after a hotline complaint to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services on behalf of the children living with Gibson at the time. She is in the Broome County Jail without bail.
