Binghamton University is encouraging students to live a healthier life.
The campus held its ninth annual health fair. More than 70 vendors set-up providing free food and drink samples, exercise demos and evenoffered some giveaways. The fair also offered students health screening and messages. It was all in honor of national nutrition month.
Registered dietician, Alexa Schmidt said, "It's really a great opportunity for students faculty staff and community members to take a look and see what health and wellness resources are available to them in the Binghamton area."
About 1,000 people showed up to the fair. Officials say they hope to hold a 10th wellness fair next year.
