Susquehanna Valley Girls Basketball wins Class B State Title 51-45 over Hoosick Falls

Susquehanna Valley Girls Basketball team earned their first state title in program history on Saturday with a 51-45 win over Hoosick Falls. The Sabers jumped out to a big lead 9-0 after Courtney and Caitlyn Knapp made big buckets and SV continued to roll their offense with a 31-23 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Sabers continued to shoot well from the field and went up by ten with 6 minutes left in the third quarter. The Panthers then went on a little run of their own to cut the lead to 44-40 with 3 minutes left in the game.

In crunch time, Hannah Haskell and Shayna Lee hit big free throws to seal the win for the Sabers.
