Professor at SUNY Broome Shares Her Experience in Doctorate Program
SUNY Broome faculty members are doing more than lecturing to students.
On Wednesday night one college professor demonstrated her knowledge and talked about her experiences with earning her doctorate degree. Dr. Kelli Ligeikis got her doctorate in 2010 in educational leadership and her focus of study was on female community college vice presidents. Ligeikis talked about different areas of her life that were impacted throughout the doctoral process.
Vice President and Dean of STEM, Dr. Kelli Ligeikis said, "What happened to me when I was going through the process, how my family dealt with me being back in school, how to work it into my career and my job during the daily process of your busy life and what it really means to do my study."
Dr. Shelly Purtell will be the next teacher to share her experiences with SUNY Broome faculty members on April 8th.
