Budget Proposal Set to Improve Availability of Electronic Medical Records
Have you ever been sick while you're out of town? Well Healthlink New York is trying to make things easier for you by trying to improve it's health information technology.
With the approval of it's 45 million dollar budget proposal, Healthlink will be strengthening it's impact on advancing the quality and continuity of care for patients.
CEO of Healthlink NY, Christina Galanis said, "It increases the likelihood that their information is available wherever they go in the state of New York and eventually that happening increases the likelihood of it being available in other states."
Officials say that right now, complete electronic medical health records for patients are available regionally and with the continued support these records are expected to be available statewide. The budget is set to be approved on April 1st.
