McCrory climbs the ranks in Bellator with second statement win

Jon "Bones" Jones may be THE name that comes to mind when talking about mixed martial arts in Broome County, but quickly joining the conversation is Tamdan "The Barncat" McCrory. McCrory made headlines in September with a TKO of Brennan Ward in just 21 seconds. He did it again on Saturday in a 66 second win by submission over Jason Butcher, cementing his name as a top contender in the Bellator middleweight division.

"It's one thing to beat guys, it's another to beat them in a devastating fashion and the third side to that is beating them at their own game," said McCrory. "Fighting Brennan Ward his famous last words were 'if he wants to stand and bang, we'll stand and bang.' 21 seconds later he was on the canvas. Then with my last opponent Jason Butcher I ended up beating him at his game, he's a Brazilian jiujitsu black belt and I tapped him out in an arm bar in 66 seconds. It's a different level and that confidence is just going to continue to rise and it's definitely going to do well for my career in Bellator."
