Several Toxicology Reports Come Back Negative on Inmate Who Was Found Dead
Three of four toxicology reports on an inmate who died in the Broome County jail in January have come back negative.
Salladin Barton was found dead on January 17th. Attorney Ron Benjamin is representing Barton's family and said shortly after his death that it involved an overdose of some kind. A fourth toxicology report is still pending, but Benjamin says despite the three negative findings he feels people at the jail contributed to Barton's death. The only question is how. Sheriff David Harder says if the fourth toxicology report comes back negative it will be up to the coroner to determine a cause of death. But Harder says no jail personnel were responsible for Barton's death.
