Sharing Governor Cuomo's 2015 Opportunity Agenda Around the State
Members of Governor Cuomo's cabinet continue bringing the 2015 opportunity agenda to communities across the state.
On Thursday in Chenango County, Commissioner Roann Destito from the Office of General Services spoke on the Governor's plan for education reform, economic opportunity, and ethics reform.
Destito says there a are a few items that would affect upstate counties including providing grant money for businesses in the energy field, and programs to preserve farm land.
Commissioner RoAnn Destito, for the Office of General Services said, "Making sure that we preserve farmland and invest in farmland protection is another area that the governor focused on for the Southern Tier."
Community members at the presentation said they were mainly concerned about high property taxes and economic opportunities.
