A Fire at an Endicott Apartment Complex Displaces Several Residents

A fire broke out in an apartment complex in Endicott. Firefighters were
called to Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott around 7:40 Thursday evening. Several trucks were on the scene fighting the blaze.

Officals say the fire started in the cellar of one building and spread to the second floor. Officials say two Endicott firefighters assisted by West Corners firefighters rescued a woman under fire conditions and that the Endicott police rescued 2 people under heavy smoke conditions. Its uncertain at this time if there were any injuries, However, officials say several people were displaced from their homes and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
